June 2017 meeting - at Wendy's home

And here is the June 2017 meeting post - just in time for September!!!!  ðŸ˜‡ðŸ˜Ž

We met at Wendy's house near Airdrie.  It was more a social event than an actual meeting with a full blown agenda.  That's the great thing about a "not guild" - we can do whatever the heck we want!!!  Pot luck lunch was the order of the day, which always results in some fabulous food!

Linda and Tracy above, Wendy below.  I didn't get pix, but Wendy showed us her sewing room - it's fabulous!!!!!

And some more smiling quilters!  With that kind of food around, who wouldn't be smiling?

We did have Show and Tell.....

And finally, Vanecea presented our fearless leader, Janet, with a basket of goodies collected over the last couple of meetings.  Well deserved, Janet!  (And Vanecea, thanks for organizing!)

May 2017 Meeting - Rumpled Quilt Skins

Just in time for September!  Here are the pix from our May meeting.  As so much time has passed, my memory is the three second goldfish memory, and I need to get this and June pix up, I'm just going to post the pix of our Show and Tell with very little comment - well perhaps the odd pithy remark.  Hey!  If someone else wants to do this - they can put in their two cents worth!!!!  ðŸ˜Ž

Terry's collage quilts.  She has told me she's travelling on the "Terry Train" around Central Alberta teaching other quilters how to make these classes.  I can think of worse ways to spend the summer!  Yay Terry!

Lee is back in action!

Here is Michelle with her Hunter Star quilt.

Phil above, moi below.

And Vanecea!  If she didn't show us something amazing I would be disappointed.  Certainly not disappointed on this day!

Sorry - still trying to learn names - but here is a very nice Churn Dash quilt.

And Karen!

Another person whose name I don't know - but a butterific butterfly quilt!

Oh Canada!

Brenda is into satin - it shows off the quilting in an amazing way!

I do recall that we had a discussion about whole cloth quilts - Brenda brought hers, as I'm sure other did.  But I only seem to have pix of Brenda's.
