October 2018 Meeting - My Sewing Room

We were at My Sewing Room in October - thank you MSR!

Here are the quilts.

Above - Linda - ever so creative with some doilies!  And I think some hand dyed fabric for the background.  Way to go, Linda!

Above - Linda and Terry with their selvage hand prints.  Cool!

And Terry with her latest collage/applique/quilted masterpieces!

I'm sorry - one of these days I'll get all the names into my very tiny memory bank.  In the meantime here are some really nice quilts!

Oh - these ones are Heather's!

Yup - still Heather.  If it's purple, it's probably Heather's!  😎

Above - we saw this one last time but now it's quilted and done!  Nice!

I believe this is a Judy Niemeyer pattern, but again - need to remember the name of our quilter on this one.

And finally (below), Charmaine with an amazing quilt.  They are all amazing!  Thanks ladies!

May 2018 - Addies in Cochrane

I know late, late, late - but better late than never?

Here are the pix from our May/18 meeting held at Addies in Cochrane - thanks Addies!

It's been long enough ago that I've sort of forgotten what went on but I'll do my best.

Lee (above)

Margaret above and below.

Mary above.

And here is our happy troupe!  😎

Adina Johnson gave a presentation about photographing quilts - thanks Adina!

Irene - above - with her Abacus - the groups' Heritage Park entry choice for 2018.

Above - the two Janets!  Janet left of Addies and Janet right, our fearless leader!

And another Abacus quilt!

Jean - above.  Karen below.

Phil was pretty excited about finishing this one - can't think of the name of the pattern right now but it's by Chris Jurd.

Above and below - more Lee quilts.

And that's it!  Thanks for being patient.

April 2018 Meeting - Rumpled Quilt Skins

I'm way late with this post - I'd like to say we had a nice day - I think we did - for a drive out to Okotoks - at least for those of us in NW Calgary!  I'll get right to the pix since I don't remember too much else other than we had a very nice massage therapist visit.  I did take her pix, but none were in focus so won't post them.

It looks like this batch is Vanecea's.  She is the Wizard of All Things Quilty.

Janet, our intrepid leader.

And back to Vanecea.  I have not explanation for why these pix came in so jumbled up. But I'm too lazy to fix the order.

I believe V said this is a granddaughter, but I could be wrong about that.  It's a photo printed on fabric then "fabric painted."

And back to Vanecea again....

This one is Allison's.

And a terrible pix of me, but the quilt's OK.

Charmaine.

Bev is holding this one but I can't remember if she was just helping to hold it up or if it is her quilt....

Phil's above and below.  She won the Modern Guild's block lotto and the above quilt is the result.

Last month Colleen asked how she should quilt this one - she figured it out!  Looks great!  She brought it back this month to show and tell it.  Great job Colleen!

She liked it so much, she made another one!

Charmaine again.  This one is huge and finished in honour of our "UFO" challenge - apparently it's been hanging around for quite awhile waiting to be finished!

Above - Tanya.

Colleen again.

OK - that's all I've got for April.
