Welcome to the Calgary Longarm Quilters Blog

WELCOME to our Calgary Longarmers Group blog!  Information relevant to this group will be posted here for the benefit of our members.  However, non-group members who wander in are very welcome to explore the blog.  It is a place of sharing.

Remember our next meeting is June 14/2016.  Please look for details in the minutes of our May 10 meeting.

Here are a few pix taken at recent meetings to get us started.

Our May 10 meeting was held at Addie's in Cochrane where we met owner Janet who was very enthusiastic about having our group.  Thank you Janet.

Importantly, participants in our two group submissions are reminded to bring their quilts to Heritage Park on May 24 to meet up with the group coordinators, who will be in the Railway Cafe @ 10 am. As a reminder, HP now has a parking charge of $5, but there is a 30 minute grace period.

Erie Quilt Arts is one of several collection points for quilts to be donated to victims of the Fort McMurray fire.  Quilts can be dropped off there during business hours.  Lee sent out a letter that can be used to explain "free passage" of quilts across the border if anyone is travelling into the US and will be bringing donated quilts back.  I will try to figure out a way to get it onto the blog, but in the meantime check Calgary Longarm Quilters email dated May 11 @ 6:26 PM if you need it.
