Our November meeting was held at My Sewing Room - a big thanks to them!
Charmaine was absent so I have no meeting notes and as I still don't know everyone's name, a lot of these pix will be nameless in terms of the maker. My apologies for that. It just shows you how dependent I am on Charmaine's notes! She can never leave our group!!!!
Terry taught a collage class for those in the group who were interested in learning the technique and a few of the class creations showed up at our meeting. Above - Deb's moose collage. Below - Janet with her owl.
Someone talked about thread painting and brought this book by Jennifer Day, which explains her technique.
Above and below - both made/quilted by moi (Mary). The Canada themed one went to Sandy, the Calgary Quilts of Valour rep to be presented to an injured veteran. Below is a Quiltworx Glacier Star that I started probably about 3 years ago and finally got finished. I gave it to my sister and bro-in-law as a belated wedding gift. Some things just can't be rushed! 😎
Above - Karen, below - Heather.
I love this Christmas quilt! I believe it is a combination of piecing and fussy cutting.
This is Sandy with a quilt that she's been chipping away at for a long time. She is happy that it's finished - and it's lovely!
Phil with one of her scrap busting charity quilts.
Phil with another one.
And Brenda.
