Thanks to Roberta for hosting the meeting at her church.
I didn't get the "Wear Purple Memo"! Purple must be a favourite colour in this group - no less than seven of us showed up in purple finery and I couldn't resist - had to get them to line up for a "Purple Pix".
Colleen, don't know name (sorry!), Kim, Heather, Lee, Karen and Sandy.
Sandy read a letter from a recipient of a "Quilts of Valour" quilt. It was a long, very emotional letter that had us all grabbing tissues. Many of us have worked on one or more of these quilts. It is good to know that our efforts are so worthwhile.
Our intrepid leader, Janet.

I try, am getting better, but still don't know everyone's name. As a consequence, some of these pix will not have names attributed to them. I will really miss Charmaine's notes, which is how I was able to get so many of the names before. So this is a personal plea for someone to step up and offer to do the note taking. Please....
And also, feel free to let me know quilter names of "no name" pix.

And there you have it. Another really fun meeting!
I believe we decided as a group, beginning in Sept/18, to alternate our meetings between Roberta's church in the southwest and Allison's church in the northwest. I personally like the idea - not just for the convenience of knowing where the next meeting will be (as long as I can remember where the last one was!), and the fact that everyone will only have to "drive far" half the time, but also, for taking pix it is much easier to do where there is space to get a clear shot of the quilts. And I'm going to try to be a bit more assertive and ask quilters to hold their quilts up long enough to get a few shots before they move - don't be in such a rush. I try to get a shot of the entire quilt, then one or two close-ups of the quilting but if the quilts are moving, especially on the close ups, the shots are out of focus and I don't like to publish those ones. So be prepared for me to nag you a bit come photo-op time! 😎
